Macclesfield Saints v Tytherington.

Saints were still half asleep when the whistle went as Tytherington took a very early lead when effortlessly they carried the ball into the back of the net.0-1Angry smile
Tytherington were controlling the early minutes of the game and had a shot pushed away for a corner by our new keeper Joe.
The corner was taken perfectly but Josh was on hand to clear the ball up field to Jamie then Liam and Sam and finally Jack inside the box who went for the shot but unfortunately was smothered by Tytherington players.

Saints were beginning to wake up a little and showed great skill and passing but without reward.

Tytherington were keeping gk Joe busy who had to make two great saves, Tytherington deserved the lead they had.

A free kick to Saints was awarded just inside the half way line this was taken by Sam, Tytherington headed the ball away for a counter attack, Mike was on hand to clear the danger giving saints time to regain their shape.

First real attacking play from saints came from Jack b who took the ball from Tytherington passed to Louis on the left hand side who passed to jack who travelled with the ball the width of the pitch, Louis having repositioned himself was waiting for the ball but unfortunately the ball from jack was travelling to fast for Louis to get his foot on.

A disallowed goal from Tytherington reminded Saints that Tytherington were here to win.
Tytherington continued to attack and test our keeper, Joe made an outstanding save and pushed the ball away to give Tytherington a corner, the corner was taken well, however Gerald cleared the immediate danger, before eventually a goal kick was given.
Play was all Tytherington and Josh cleared a goal scoring opportunity then Mike cleared off the line.

Tytheringtons next chance as Tytherington weaved through saints players who just seemed to stand still, last man Josh finally took hold of the situation and took the ball and a perfectly timed pass found Jack on the right wing who carried the ball up the wing to Sam who's shot went just wide.

Saints had finally woke up and were showing some promising play, Jamie made a well timed tackle taking the ball from Tytherington, Jack B, Liam and Louis were controlling the midfield well.
Jack send a perfect ball into the box rising high above everyone else Josh got his head to it, how he missed the goal i don't know!(great move Josh!

Tytheringtons next goal came from an unstoppable free kick.0-2.Angry smile
Saint's were really playing great football .but unfortunately against the run of play Tytherington scored again3-0.Angry smile
With second to go Tytherington were hungry for more goals, Mike with the move of the game so far kept the goals at bay when he followed a Tytherington player all the way into the box stopping him getting his shot on target and keeping the score line at 0-3 as the half time whistle went.
SECOND HALF.

Saints had an uphill struggle to get anything from this game they've done it before could they do it again on derby day?
Tytherington started the stronger side and Joe made a good save early on in the first half.

A free kick to saints gave them hope, Sam sent the ball into the box, Liam with great skill chested it down to Darren who's shot was blocked, then josh had his shot blocked before a goal kick was finally awared. Saints continued to attack Jamie's shot just wide of the target.
saint's found the fire in their bellies that was needed, they were chasing every ball. Eventually they were rewarded for their efforts, Sam travelled the length of the pitch and sent the ball flying past the keeper.1-3.SaintsOpen-mouth smile still had a long way to go but the goal had lifted the players further and the parents were ecstatic.

Saints were back in the game ,although Tytherington were still dangerous and were pushing forward at every opportunity but opportunities were becoming less!
Darren making his debut today didn't disappoint his new team mates and laid a perfect ball onto sam who struck the back of the net for his second goal of the game.2-3Open-mouth smile
Saints were really up for this game today and deserved the goals for their second half performance.
More chances came with shots from Liam. Louis, Gerald and Josh.

Both keepers were continuing to be tested and it was end to end fantastic football from both sides.

Against the run of play Tytherington scored to widen the gap 2-4 ouch!Angry smile

The lads head's didn't go down it made them work that much harder, the lads could be heard giving each other instructions, options and words of encouragement.
With just 9mins left Sam struck the ball into the net for his hat rick and to lesson the gap.3-4.Open-mouth smile
It was all saints they hit the bar before eventually levelling the score a corner ball from Sam, Liam jumped above all the other players to head it into goal.4-4.Open-mouth smile
Not happy with a draw saints were hungry for more goals and shots from James, Gerald and Jack followed.
With minutes left a free kick from Sam saw the keeper get his finger tips to the ball to deny Saints (great keeping)

Both teams going for it both hit the bar in the dying seconds.
Final whistle blew 4-4 FEW!!!!!!!!

IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL A GAME OF TWO HALVES?
