Under 13's v Barnton

Macclesfield Saints v Barnton
With no subs again saints were looking for their 1st win of the season.
Barnton started well and pressurised Saints from the onset. Barnton were unlucky not to take the lead very early in the game when a shot was headed just over the crossbar.
Continued pressure from Barnton needed Josh to clear a dangerous ball from the goal mouth. Barnton were eventually rewarded for their efforts with a shot that found the back of the net.

From a corner kick to Barnton Jack N took full advantage and collected the ball from a Barnton player and carried it the length of the pitch spotted Sam running into the box, calmly and well timed placed it at the feet of Sam who calmly put the ball away, Saints had deserved to be level and needed the goal to lift heads.
Improved play continued for Saints as GK Jamie kicked a long ball to Jack N who ran the ball down the right wing, passing defenders before getting a cross into the box to Liam who's head connected with the ball but was unable to steer towards goal.
More promising play came from Saints with this time Liam making a well timed and accurate pass to Louis inside the box unluckily Barnton defended well before Louis could get the shot in.

Barnton were still very much in the game and still continued to create space and test our keeper time and time again.

A GK from Sam reached Jack in Barntons half with great skill jack collected the ball turned and shot only to have his shot blocked and Gerald with the rebound had his shot blocked before Barnton cleared the ball completely.
A great save from Jamie stopped Barnton taking the lead and josh and Mike both did their job keeping Barnton at bay.

A corner to Saints gave Barnton their next chance with shots from Alex, Louis, Gerald and James but Barnton worked tirelessly to stop Saints finding the back of the net again.

Two great goals followed one after the other a long powerful strike and a overhead kick Jamie stood no chance with either even Van der Sar would have struggled.

Despite 2 goals in quick concession Saints had another chance to narrow the gap but Josh's effort was headed over the bar.

Saints conceded again when they left their self wide open and were out numbered at the back which left Jamie vulnerable with no chance.
saints never gave up and Sam slotted his second of the game home.
However Saints joy was very soon over shadowed when Barnton struck again, and then an unlucky own goal was given, then a 7th goal for Barnton came just before the much needed fulltime whistle.
HALF TIME 2-7

SECOND HALF
Saints started well and a free kick awarded to Saints went just over the crossbar from Jack N, however Sam eager for his hat rick struck again with help from Jack N.
a dubious penalty to Barnton found themselves at goal no 8.

As much as Saints play was improving they couldn't stop Barnton they were continually looking for their next goal' and they came goals 9'10'and 11!
