Today Edward stood in for absent keeper Joe. It was good to see Jamie who is injured at the moment cheering his team hope your back playing soon.
1st half
Saints were first to kick off and put pressure on from the first kick of the ball with an early chance a long pass from Sam to Jack who hit it just over the bar.
Hartford responded well with a shot only to be pushed away by the keeper and sent back in but just went wide of the goal.
Tom was next to test the Hartford keeper with a great shot but saved.
Saints found themselves in control when Jack crossed the ball into the box who found Liam who's effort again was saved by the keeper.
Hartford had a few chances but couldn't get past a strong Harry in defence again and again.
Hartford's next chance came from a corner, this was headed away by a very strong James, Alex collected the ball from James and sent the ball to Jack supported by Louis, Jack put the ball past the keeper. 1-0 up.
Louis continued to work hard today and won the ball time and time again, he sent a fantastic ball into the box which found the head of Liam but Hartford's keeper saved well.
Saints were playing good football passing, Reece was organising the back line, Edward and Mike were shouting words of encouragement. Tom, Louis and Jack all had chances but without reward.

Just before half time Louis was denied a goal when he hit the top corner post.
HALF TIME
2nd half
SUBS; James, Harry off Josh, Jack B on.
Great start from the Saints they were soon 2-0 up when Sam flicked the ball onto Jack who scored. Tom scored next to make it 3-0. Josh also had a chance with a header but saved by the keeper. Saints were rewarded again with a goal from Sam.
Hartford had a few chances but players worked hard to deny them.
Saints next goal was scored by hard working Gerald who in a goal mouth scramble sent the ball past the keeper.
Hartford found themselves 5-0 down but heads did not go down they worked hard and were rewarded with there first goal. Hartford upped there game and scored again.
Saints heads went down, as Hartford scored yet again, bringing the score closer 5-3.
Saints new they had to work hard like they had done up to Hartford's goals, they pushed forward and Sam flicked the ball onto Jack who kept his cool one on one with the keeper and scored. 6-3.

Hartford scored again the score 6-5 with minutes left, Saints kept the ball and were rewarded with the win when the final whistle went. PHEW!!!!!!!.
