Egerton v Saints
The Saints travelled to Knutsford today and faced a very good side.
Saints were given a corner early in the game Jack took who found the
boot of Sam but keeper caught.
Egerton on the counter soon scored.
Egerton also were awarded a free kick just outside the box when Saints
accidently hand balled, Joe saved the strike with his feet to deny
Egerton their second.
Saints were next to shoot at goal when a free kick from Sam found Jack
and he passed across goal narrowly missing the foot of Alex. Eddy was
next with a strike but shot wide.
Egerton were soon 2-0 up.
Saints soon narrowed the gap when Jack struck the ball and hit the back
of the net.
Saints quickly levelled the score with a well timed pass from Alex to
Jack who scored.
Soon after Jack had another chance but for the keeper to save.
An error in defence led to Egerton taking the lead again, despite
excellent saves from Joe time and time again.
Despite an excellent run from Josh, Egerton scored again and again. the
score was now 5-2 and Saints were loosing their desire to win and were
second to the ball.
A long shot from Sam which hit the back of the net gave the Saints hope
and a strike from Jamie soon followed.
Saints couldn't hold the score and Egerton scored just before half time.
HALF TIME 6-3.
second half
Egerton scored early from a free kick.
Saints were awarded a free kick next and were unlucky not to score when
Jack sent in the free kick to Sam who shot and keeper saved.
8-3 Egerton scored again despite good spells of play. Saints last kick
of the game was a free kick from Sam to Jack who one on one with the
keeper hit just over the bar.
Final score 8-3.
