Winsford Junior Blues v Macclesfield Saints.
If saints won today they would confirm 4th place in the
league. Today's captain was birthday boy Harry
Good strong start from Winsford their first shot on goal was saved easily by Joe.
Josh made an excellent run into the box to allow Joe to collect the ball as Josh shielded it.
Saints were next with an encouraging run down the right wing from Sam who crossed the ball into josh who one on one with the keeper tried his best but the keeper came out and collected the ball.
Jack with a shot ,keeper saved ,it was all saints gerald made a strong tackle in midfield to win the ball,Sam down the fight wing passes to jack backed up by Liam but Winsford cleared Jacks shot.
Winsford on the break are stopped in their tracks with a block from James who helped by Harry clears the ball up field. Throw in to saints taken by Mike to Jack who crosses in to Sam who's shot is just wide. Today Liam was working really hard and winning the majority of the balls.
Against the run of play Winsford scored. 1-0.
Saints responded almost straight away from a long goal kick from Joe to Jack whos shot touched the keeper and trickled over the line 1-1.
Winsford with a corner sent a great ball in keeper Joe made one of his usual outstanding saves.Winsford were soon awarded a penalty because of an accidental hand ball inside the box,no 14 struck the top corner taking the lead again.2-1
Harry headed away a dangerous ball,Liam carried the ball further up the pitch to jack who took on player after player passed to liam who just misses the shot.
At the other end Jo was forced to make a great save with his feet and then again as Winsford were having more of the ball.
HALF TIME 2-1
Winsford came out strong and appeared to be walking the ball into the box,it was left to Edward and and Josh to clear the danger.
Saiints were still playing well Jack with a run down the left wing crossed to Liam who then flicked onto Sam who just shot wide.
Jack as usual didn't disappoint with his goal tally and scored.2-2 then another when a well placed ball from Gerald landed at Jacks feet and passed the keeper.3-2.
Saints were pushing for the win Sam hit the crossbar from a free kick then Josh and Liam both had shots before the ball was finally cleared.
Winsford equalised-3.
With minutes to go both teams were pushing forward. Sam hit the crossbar and Liam's shot went just over,Winsford Hit the crossbar and a shot was saved by Joe.
The game ended 3-3 both teams played well.
