MACCLESFIELD SAINTS V HOLMES CHAPEL
Today's home fixture was a tough game today. Sorry to say but Saints had played much better in previous games. H/C controlled the majority of the first half. H/C had some very strong well organised players especially at the back. Any chances that Saints had players were straight their to deal with them.
Despite some excellent saves from GK Joe Saints were 2-0 down at half time.
2nd half and H/C came out just as strong and soon had 2 shots on goal straight away luckily for Saints Joe dealt with them.
Sam's only real chance of the game lifted play a little when a strong strike beat the keeper.
With the score at 2-1 Saints looked for a second pushing forward but time after time H/C got the better of them.
Jack N scored for Saints to bring the score level, however H/C responded by hitting the net twice. Saints were out played today by a well organised side who passed the ball well around the pitch. Hard game boys! good luck on Sunday.
