Under 12's Friendly Report 29th Aug
Macclesfield Saints v Holmes Chapel.
Team:
Joe, Mike, Josh, James, Liam, Jack, Tom, Alex, Sam, Jack B, Gerald, Jamie.
Today we welcome 3 new players to the team LIAM, GERALD and JACK welcome
boys and hope you enjoy the season ahead.
1st Half
Saints started well against a well organised side, play was very even
throughout the first half.
Jack N opened the scoring with a goal mouth scramble which the keeper
got a hand to but couldnt stop. Another goal followed with a flick back
from Josh to Sam who smashed it past the keeper from just inside the
half way line. More goals followed and at halftime the visiting side
scored twice making the score 2-2.
2nd half
Saints went into the second half with a great attitude and all worked
well as a team.
Sam opened the second half sore with a screamer dipping the keeper. The
visiting side soon equalised and the score was 3-3. The saints continued
to work hard with some great passing and shots on and off target. Saints
keeper Joe continued to save some excellent shots from the visitors to
keep the saints in the game. Sam scored the next goal taking the score
to 4-3 up giving Sam his hat-trick! With 7 minutes to go the visitors hit the
back of the net again bringing the score to 4-4. With minutes to go
saints secured the win with another strike from Sam from a throw in from
Jack B .
Well done boys today here's to the season ahead!
