Macc Saints v Sandbach Utd Eagles

Whites: Lewis Forshaw, Ben Heginbotham, Kai Greasby (C) , Scott Dinsley, Tom Cawley, James Wright, Leon Jackson, Joe Heginbotham

The Whites had a physical encounter with the eagles which saw (MOM) Joe Heginbotham targeted early on but he didn't shirk the challenge.  Sandbach led from early on and although up against it, the Saints battled well and were rewarded with Scott Dinsley's third goal in three games.  He was then brought down for a penalty which was neatly converted by Tom Cawley. The whites played really well in the second half we just need to start in the same way.

Blues: Callum Bailey, Harry Nesbit(C), Daniel Tute, Patrick Swallow, Adam Cartwright, Adam Leonard, Josh Churchman, Owen Taylor, George Wilson.

The blues won there game well although the neat passing from earlier weeks wasn't quite there. Adam Cartwright put the Saints into an early lead which was soon doubled as a Josh Churchman corner was deflected in after a nice set piece. Sandbach pulled one back but never looked like equalising and any hope they had died when Adam Leonard burst through to score his weekly goal (well it was Saturday)!!
