Macc Saints v Frodsham

Game 1:

Saints battled strong right from kick off and displayed some fine passing and teamwork.  A strong performance by all put on an exciting game for the spectators.

George and Harry held a tight back line whilst the midfield was controlled by Adam C and Dan.

A goal hungry Adam L was in tip top scoring form and bagged himself 5 goals!!! Adam C scored himself 2 and Josh notched up 1.

Frodsham stayed composed and held their heads though and battled to the end with fine commitment. 

Final score was 8-4 to Macc Saints.

Player of the Match was Adam Leonard.

The game was well supported on the sideline throughout by the rest of the Saints team whilst they waited for the second game.  Credit to all of them.

Game 2:

Saints struggled to find their form and found themselves defending for most of the game against a determined Frodsham side who were clearly looking for revenge following their loss in the first game.

Heads didn’t drop and George managed to find the back of the Frodsham net.  Saints carried on battling and managed to force an own goal too.

A tough game where Saints conceded 6 (1 of which was a penalty)

Final score was 2-6 to Frodsham.

 Another determined and relentless performance from Tom Cawley duly rewarded with the Player of the Match award
