Congleton Rovers

Whites: Lewis Forshaw, Lewis Cheadle, Kai Greasby , Scott Dinsley, Tom Cawley(C), James Wright, George Crowley, Leon Jackson, Joe Heginbotham

The Whites put in a fantastic team performance in revenge of the defeat they took here before Christmas. Scott Dinsley opened the scoring with a long range effort in the 1st half, this was well deserved after some sustained pressure. It was late on when (MOM) Tom Cawley took players on down the right wing and whipped in a fantastic cross for Kai Greasby to cooly finish.

A well deserved win in the end and a very good all round performance.

Blues: Callum Bailey, Harry Nesbit(C), George Wilson, Daniel Tute, Adam Cartwright, Adam Leonard, Josh Churchman, Patrick Swallow .

The blues were involved in a great game that they should have won but very nearly lost! Goals from Adam Cartwright and Adam Leonard (2) had put the saints 3-2 up with 3 minutes left and we looked comfortable. There then followed 1 minute of madness that saw Rovers score twice and surely get a smash and grab win. Great team spirit was shown though as Josh Churchman's speculative effort sneaked in from long range to grab the draw.

I will end up having a coronary if that happens too often. (MOM) was Harry Nesbit with a solid performance.

Thanks to Martin for the report.
