Kingsmead v Macc Saints

Match 1:

Saints had a few chances against a good, well organised Kingsmead side. However,  Saints went 1-0 down and soon followed a second from a corner kick.

Jack brought the score 2-1 but Kingsmead never gave up and had a shot at goal cleared off the line by Mike Lyon but went into net (own goal!)half time 3-1 down.

In the second half chances were afoot at both ends.  Near misses from Jack, Sam, Edward and Tom who all hit the woodwork.

Tragically another own goal sealed the Saints fate....A header from Callum went into our own goal! (oh dear)!!!  Leaving a full time score of 4-1.

Todays Player of the Match was......Sam Wilson.

Match 2:

A good start from both teams who were evenly matched.  There were a number of close calls from Reece and Alex following good corner kicks.

Saints didn't give up and a goal came from Reece shortly before half time.

Saints went into half time 0-1 up.

Into the second half,  Kingsmead scored to level things up at 1-1.  Reece set up the Saints second goal, a power strike forcing the keeper to punch out and immediately sent back in by George.

Saint back at 1-2 up.

Our team battled with strong side winds and created more chances, however Kingsmead scored minutes from the end.

Full time 2-2.
