Team a; Callum Bailey, Harry Nesbit (c), Ben Heginbotham, Kai Loftus, Jessica Tomlinson, Scott Dinsley, Adam Leonard, Jack Thomson, Joe Heginbotham.
Team A started a memorable day by comfortably reversing the defeat that they suffered to these opponents earlier in the season. Some good passing and movement created two goals for Player of the Match Scott Dinsley to put the saints 2-0 up at half time.
The second half was dominated in much the same way and after hitting the woodwork twice Scott got his hat-trick.
There was then a (becoming a) trademark poachers goal from Joe Heginbotham turning in a shot from Kai Loftus and the reintroduction of Adam Leonard wasn't welcomed by Winsford as he capped a great game by snatching two goals for himself after spending the first half creating chances for others.
Team B; Lewis Forshaw, Daniel Tute, Patrick Swallow, Leon Jackson, Tom Cawley (c), Josh Churchman, Daniel Dolling, Maddy Odell, James Wright
Team B were led to another fantastic victory by the returning Tom Cawley who led by example as captain.
After weathering early Winsford pressure as the visitors started much brighter a solo wonder goal from Player of the Match Daniel Dolling got the Saints going.
Hard work and concentration were shown by all players to withstand a much physically bigger side and Daniel Dolling again finished well on the break to send the saints in 2-0 at half time.
In the second half the fight in Winsford had been drained and the saints had more chances to increase the lead which they failed to take until late on when Josh Churchman struck the second wonder goal of the game a looping effort from out on the byline.
A cracking effort all round from eveyone in wintery conditions WELL DONE!
